The fact that air pollution is becoming part of Delhi's art conversations perhaps reflects more powerfully than anything else how this topic is becoming more important every day in our lives. The India Art Fair 2016 edition had this provocative piece by Shahid Parvez that served to remind all that vehicles contribute so much to our poor air quality.

"Delhi Lung" by Spanish artist Lucas Munoz (www.lucasmunoz.com). Uploaded with the permission of the artist who is currently in New Delhi. "This is contemporary and relevant to what is going on in Delhi," said the artist. After 30 days of breathing in Delhi's air, the muslin cloth will pattern what lungs of Delhi residents look like. "It will be like an imprint," said Lucas at "Publica" at Bikaner House on Jan 30, 2016. The installation will move to one of Delhi's public spaces on Jan 31.
